Half-Life 2 Mod
The last project of my Game Design class was to develop a game mod using Valve’s Source SDK. Our team decided to create a multiplayer mod where you get points for killing others and you could then spend the points on power-ups or special weapons. You win by having the most points at the end of the match. We thought it was interesting that there was a trade-off between spending points on upgrades and keeping them to win the game.
For this game, I implemented shops for upgrade purchases, programmed interaction with the shops, and linked them to our code.
